20th European Conference on Fracture
From 30th June to 4th July, the 20th European Conference on Fracture (ECF20) took place in Trondheim (Norway) under the auspices of the European Structural Integrity Society (ESIS).
The ECF, which is held every two years since 1976, is a renowned international conference in the field of fracture, fatigue and structural integrity. This time, 536 presentations were given by researchers from 46 countries all over the world. In addition, 15 plenary speeches were given by world class scientists.
Tomás Eduardo GarcÃa Suárez and Marcos Pérez RodrÃguez were the representatives of SIMUMECAMAT at the Congress and they presented their respective works:
-
T. E. GarcÃa, C. RodrÃguez, F. J. Belzunce, I. Peñuelas, I. I. Cuesta: Estimation of the Fracture Toughness of Structural Steels by Means of the CTOD Evaluation on Notched Small Punch Specimens.
-
M. Pérez, C. RodrÃguez, F. J. Belzunce: The Use of Cryogenic Thermal Treatments to Increase the Fracture Toughness of a Hot Work Tool Steel Used to Make Forging Dies.
