From 20th July to 25th July took place in Barcelona the 11th World Congress on Computational Mechanics (WCCM XI) along with the 5th European Conference on Computational Mechanics (ECCM V) and the 6th European Conference on Computational Fluid Dynamics (ECFD VI), organized by the International Center for Numerical Methods in Engineering (CIMNE) and the Spanish Association for Numerical Methods in Engineering (SEMNI) under the auspices of the International Association for Computational Mechanics (IACM) and the European Community on Computational Methods in Applied Sciences (ECCOMAS). 

 

The organization of the event was a success, despite the large numbers of attendees: almost 4000 participants form over 52 different countries. Regarding SIMUMECAMAT, this time was Emilio Martínez Pañeda who had the opportunity to attend and present the work that he has developed in collaboration with the Professor of the University of Granada, Rafael Gallego:
